Take a break from exams and come watch a cool climbing documentary at the crooms! Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell have a new doco coming to Disney+, so we'll put it on the projector upstairs.
The Devil’s Climb is a new documentary from National Geographic documenting the journey of Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell – best friends who happen to be two of the greatest rock climbers of all time – on their world speed record attempt of the Five Spires on Devil’s Thumb, terrifying 9000-foot peak in the Alaskan wilderness. It’s known as one of the most dangerous mountains in North America, and scaling it at all is an incredible feat — scaling it all in one day is almost superhuman.
The film will see Honnold and Caldwell traveling 2600 miles by bike, sailboat, and on-foot through the American West, Canada, and Alaska on their journey to Devil’s Thumb, followed by a grueling one-day climb of the Five Spires, something that’s never been done before.
