CBDGaine

The first rogaine of the year, the Melbourne based CBD-gaine will be back in 2025 to mark the start of the rogaining calendar!

A great first event for those who have never tried rogaining and a fun one for those who have. It is accessible, cheap and a great way to get to know Melbourne if you haven't been here much. Plus if you want a break in the middle, just stop at a cafe and have a coffee.

What is Rogaining?

Rogaining is a team sport that combines outdoor adventure with navigation and strategy. Teams are given a fixed amount of time to try to collect as many points as possible. Teams collect points by navigating to checkpoints scattered around the map. Rogaining is a lot of fun and easy to get involved in. Typically they are held in the bush, but this one will be in the city.

Rogaine events are not run through MUMC, but through Rogaining Victoria. MUMC tries to enter teams at every event and help out where possible. They are also always looking for people to volunteer at their events so please feel free to sign up as a volunteer! They are volunteer run just like us :)

Trip meeting:

We will be having a trip meeting Tuesday two weeks prior to the event to organise teams and discuss how to register. It is important you come so you can find a team.

Please note: If you are finding this event after the meeting has passed and still want to join do not panic. Registrations will be open longer (I am just away the week before so won't be around to organise teams in person). Send me an email, or leave a message in the discussion below and I will try my best to sort you into a team.
