SPRATS (Sea Spurge Remote Area Teams) is a volunteer group dedicated to eradicating sea spurge and marram grass from the southwest and southern wildeness coastline of tasmania.
As well as being a fun conservation trip, it is an opportunity to walk along one of the remotest coastlines and involves free helicopter rides in and out of the coast.
For more details see the sprats website , download their SPRATPACK or talk to me at meetings.
Expressions of interest are due in mid-september and the trips run between December to February. (Note, this trip isn't organised by MUMC. Signing up here won't do anything, you need to sign up with SPRATS)
