Blue Mountains NSW Caving Trip

Requirements: At least one previous caving trip this is a 7-10 day trip it’s not really suitable for most people as a first caving trip exceptions will be made for otherwise suitably experienced people in short you should know what you’re getting into you don’t want to find out day one of the trip you don’t like being underground.

There are trips every weekend in March so plenty of opportunity to come on a trip beforehand.

Plan is to spend 7-10 days based in Jenolan (Blue Mountains NSW) to go caving and do a few other things nearby eg daywalk at Kanangra Walls or slight possibility of daytrip canyoning.

Over the course of the week we’ll do a range of caves from the open expanses of Wiburds Lake cave to the kilometres of maze that is Mammoth cave to the streamway and waterfalls of Tuglow.

The trip will be able to cater for most levels of previous experience however there may be some days where the specific trip won't be suitable for beginners exact trip activities will depend in part on who is on the trip, so I'll be able to be more specific closer to the date. For days where not everyone is caving there are some daywalk options at or near jenolan.

Expected costs

Gear Hire $10/day

Accomodation usually works out about $10/day

Car costs $120 - $150 pending acutal petrol prices

Jenolan cavers cottage – water,power kitchen. Other locations if applicable: Camping.
