Requirements: I think it would be best if you have some experience with overnight hiking.
We'll need 2 cars for the shuffle, so if we don't get adequate numbers, the trip may not go ahead.
Let me know if you have any questions!
If you haven't yet ventured over to this this far corner of the state, now's your chance!! With long pristine beaches, secluded inland lakes, delicate heathlands and gigantic sand dunes this really is the perfect coastal walk. Each day of the hike throws up new delights making it well and truely worth the 6 hour drive.
At this stage the plan would be to leave Melbourne in the afternoon of Sunday the 31st, do a quick car shuffle and set up camp in Mallacoota for Sunday night.
Monday morning- chug accross mallacoota inlet to start our walk on the other side. Spend the night at Lake Barracoota.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be spent crusing the coast! While the walk is doable in 4days/3nights, an extra night will give us the flexibility to have a good explore, and really take it all in.
Arrive at the shuffled car on Friday (in a state of awe) and be back in Melbourne by Friday night.
