Xmas - New Years Blue Mountains: Caving

Requirements: This is a 5 day caving trip, preferably you've been caving before.

The plan is to drive up on the 26th (to allow for everyone's Xmas plans) spend 5 days in the Blue Mountains based at Jenolan drive back on the 1st.

We'll  be caving at Jenolan and Tuglow (Permits approved).

Signups will close mid December to allow time to finalise permits and accomodation.

Planned activities

Jenolan - Hundreds of caves with everything from big open walk through caves, well decorated caves to more challenging sporty squeesy tubes

Tuglow - 'Over the hill' from Jenolan this is a large cave with active streamway sections containing waterfalls. Laddering or Abseiling will be required.

Accomodation:

At Jenolan we stay in the caver's cottage this includes power, kitchen (stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle etc), showers including hot water.

Standard - UPDATED

As at this time the majority of people who have signed up (online and off) have previous caving experience it is expected that most days will be of an intermedate standard with probably one day catering for the more experienced people as an advanced trip.

This means it is likely several days activities will not be beginner friendly, that is if you have no or very limited previous caving experience this is probably not a good first trip.

For those looking for other options over this period, Sytske and James are running a canyoning trip also to the Blue mountains at the same time.

The trip meeting is in in the week prior the trip not the week of the trip to allow plently of time to organise everything.
