New Attendance Policy

Members please read for important updates going forward with our trips.

The Committee has recently implemented a new Attendance Policy for club trips. The aim of this policy is to encourage commitment and communication in MUMC, while making it easier for leaders and participants to plan and run trips.

Key things to note from the policy:

1. If you are absent from 3 trip meetings in a 6 month period for trips you’ve signed up to as “committed”, you won’t be able to sign up to any trips for the next 3 months.

*This excludes when you let the trip leader know in advance that you can’t attend.

2. The same rule applies if you are absent on a trip after the meeting has already taken place.

3. Exceptions will be made for genuine emergencies and unforeseeable issues.

Please keep this in mind next time you sign up for a trip. We want to ensure everyone gets to come on club trips, and that our trip leaders don't have too much added stress from last minute drop-outs!
