Hello Oxos,
It’s been wonderful to meet so many enthusiastic faces this semester! We’re thrilled to have such a lively community, and we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all.
With many trips happening and more on the horizon, I’d like to take a moment to remind everyone about the resources available for reporting any incidents that may have made you or someone else feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Your well-being is our priority, and we want to ensure that everyone feels supported. I would encourage all members to read our Code of Conduct.
Alicia, our Welfare Officer, is the primary point of contact for individuals facing any sort of discomfort, injury, or witnessing inappropriate behaviour. Any report to Alicia will stay confidential to her and the executive committee. Her email is: .
We also offer an anonymous report form that is confidential to the President, Vice-President, and Safety Officers. We ask that you provide as much information (date, time, location) as you’re willing to in your report. You may access it here: https://www.mumc.org.au/report.
If you’re not comfortable reaching out to the executive or welfare officers, you can also send an incident report to a trusted committee member. These can be sent via a burner email and are a great way of describing an individual incident. Full contact details for the committee are available here: https://www.mumc.org.au/contact. The link to the incident report form is here: https://www.mumc.org.au/files/documents/Incident%20Report%20Form.docx.
Finally, you can also report concerns to UMSU support. For more information check out: https://umsu.unimelb.edu.au/support/.
It has been an awesome start of the year, I’m super keen for the adventures we have ahead. Thank you for helping our club remain safe and supportive!
Warmest regards,
Connor Gundberg | Vice President
