Spion Kopje + Fall's Creek

A weekend hike/ski adventure! We'll drive up on Friday night, and camp at Mountain creek with the beginner trip. On Sunday morning starting from Howman's Gap we'll climb up to Spion Kopje. This will involve a river crossing with possible significant unpleasantness. After this a 700m climb up to Spion Kopje, a small amount of bush bashing, then mostly following a 4wd track.

We'll hopefully meet up with the beginners that night at Edmondsons Hut. On Sunday morning we can ski around with the beginners. In the afternoon we'll make our way back to Fall's creek, and hitch a ride back to collect the car/s and drive back to Melbourne. 

There's scope for intermediate skiers to join this trip, you'll want to be able to do a parallel turn and be able to control your speed. I've never done this walk up before and I don't know how hard it will be, so I'd prefer people who are confident in their bushwalking abilities, and a bit of bushbashing (walking off track through thick bushes) doesn't seem too intimidating. 

If the river level is too high, we can just walk back to the car and ski out from Fall's Creek instead.
