Hey all
Due to the success earlier in the year, we are planning to repeat the interclub social paddling and hiking trip to lake Eildon/the Cathedrals in February 2023!
We're planning a social camping weekend somewhere in the Eildon/Cathedrals area, staying preferably at the Eildon Riverside caravan park at Blue Gums, or else at one of the campsites in the Cathedrals ranges, and then heading out to do various activities in the surrounding area, such as hiking in the Cathedrals, paddling on lake Eildon or trying some easy intro to rafting on the Goulburn river (suitable for beginners).
It will be a pretty low-key trip but should be a good chance to catch up with some other people from around the club, and just get out into the bush for a few days.
We will join up with ROC members doing the same thing since our interclub Mitchell trip had to be cancelled earlier this year (once again!), so it will be a good chance to meet some other like-minded people.
Gear list and exact cost will be confirmed closer to the date. Please note numbers for camping will be limited by campsite capacity.
This is currently listed as an EOI - participant lists will be confirmed closer to the time when I know how many we can accommodate. I will send around an email to those who have expressed interest to let you know when the actual signup is open (you will need to manually sign up again to secure a space, so please keep an eye on your inbox as numbers will be limited!).
Currently, our activities will be rafting, flatwater kayaking and bushwalking but if there is a particular activity that you want to do (particularly if you can lead) then please note it in the comments, and if you have any queries then please get in touch.
Cheers,
Anita
