Kayaking information/Intro to Kayaking Theory Session

If you are curious about kayaking and want to know more about it and how to get started, this session is great for you. 

This session will be at the MUMC clubrooms and would roughly be about 45min. Anyone interested can join in regardless of whether you have signed up for a future trip or not.

Our goal is to maximize our on-water time by covering the theory behind the basic requirements beforehand by physically using all the gear in the clubrooms so that you get used to them.

We will be going over the following (we can always add more depending on requirements)

-All the kayaking gear
-How to sit and fit a kayak properly
-How to carry a kayak efficiently 
-Getting familiar with all the protective gear we will be wearing and how to fit them on
-Theory behind wetexit/capsizing drill - (Since you will be in a kayak with a spray deck on, you need to know how to get out of the kayak when you flip over).
-Any other information about the clubtrips/doubts
