Smashing out Sealers, WPNP

Dear all,

Who is interested in a weekend hike at Wilsons Prom? I would be keen to head to Sealers Cove and enjoy it there one last time before the new track opens and it gets booked out. Hopefully we would have the place to ourselves. A rough plan would be;

Friday 19th April

Meet at the Clubrooms at approximately 17:00 and drive to Telegraph Saddle Car Park. We can have dinner somewhere along the way in Korumburra or Leongatha. By the time we start hiking it will be dark, so please only join if you feel comfortable with this, and you have a reliable head torch. We will hike 7.kms, 2.5 hours to Halfway Hut and set up camp there.

Saturday 20th April

On Saturday we would rise early and walk 20.7 kms to Sealers Cove via Waterloo Bay and Refuge Cove, stopping for lunch somewhere on the way. Once there, we can set up camp and enjoy the scenery and maybe even go for a swim.

Sunday 21st November

On Sunday we would have the hard 25.5 km slog back to the carpark. Please note that we will be walking in the dark on Friday night, so please only join if you feel comfortable with this. Also please make sure you are capable of walking 25 kms with a pack. Camping costs will be approximately $15, and fuel costs TBA.
