Vic Backcountry Festival

The Victorian Backcountry Festival has opportunities for ski tours, workshops, speakers, films, and has a fun ski in outdoor bar.

To participate in tours, you need to be able to confidently ski and bring backcountry ski gear (can be hired from MUMC).  The general entry level for skiing backcountry is confident on blue runs (i.e. capable on black runs) 

The event is run externally to MUMC but it’s great value (low cost ski tours and free workshops) and an awesome opportunity to get more involved in backcountry skiing/splitboarding

Camping will be at JB plain, participants will need snow tent/winter sleeping bag and a sleeping mat with R value above 5. 

Gear requirements (skis/avy transceiver will be arranged closer to the date)
