What is intro trip?

Intro trip is our largest trip of the year. It’s a perfect way to introduce yourself to the club, experience the activities on offer and to meet people and have fun!

This year we are planning to host it at Grampians National Park , where we will have access to world class hikes / climbs and all that the Australian outdoors has to offer.
Intro trip is open to all students keen to explore the outdoors – undergraduate and postgraduate alike.

Places are limited, so be sure to sign up to secure a spot once they're open on Monday (24/2)!

What is going to happen?

We will head to Mt Stapylton campgrounds at Grampians National Park.
There will be 3 activities on offer over three separate time slots. These will be offered during the morning and afternoon of Saturday and on the morning of the Sunday. The three activities will be bushwalking, rock climbing (top roping) and social activities.

Plan of events:

Friday 14th: Leave clubrooms at 3pm to head to Mt Stapylton campgrounds in the Grampians (3 hours 40 mins). Get tents setup and likely get an earlier night for big next day.

Saturday 15th: We will get up early in the morning and have some breakfast, with various options on offer. Once finished, people will split up into three seperate groups, each doing a different activity for the morning session. After lunch, groups will switch activities. Once the afternoon session is completed, we will join as a large group, and everyone will prepare their dinners in the evening and have a fun night with new friends!

Sunday 16th: Choice of one last activity in the morning session before heading back to Melbourne in the early afternoon.

What activities will be on offer?

You'll have the choice of Bushwalking, Rock climbing and Social activities.

Choices of bushwalking will include:
  1. Mt Zero/Mura-mura (Beginner)
