Midweek Feathertop

Overnight in Alpine National park, camping on the side of Mt Feathertop by the MUMC hut.

The walk is 12km each way steadily climbing along the Bungalow Spur track for a total of 1300m of elevation gain on the way up. With a very early start from Melbourne on Tuesday we have most of the day to travel at a relaxed pace and will take quite a bit longer than Google suggests. People feeling energetic after the previous day could start early on Wednesday and end up on top of Mt Feathertop for dawn (additional 3km and lots of up) or sleep in and take it easy.

Transport costs are likely $60, all required equipment can be hired from the club rooms on the Tuesday meeting (hire rates here) as needed.
