BSAR Training Weekend

Requirements: Attend MUMC's Tuesday night trip meeting.

Bush Search & Rescue Victoria. This is an opportunity for potential BSAR members. The annual training weekend this year will provide BSAR members and experienced bushwalkers with training in the skills required for bush searching.

Saturday will consist of a Rogaine hosted by the Victorian Rogaining Association. The 12 hour event will provide ideal training as it is a close match to what is expected during a search; accurate off track bush navigation in small groups. Sunday will focus on search specific aspects, including a mock search and evacuation.

MUMCers wishing to become a member of BSAR will need to be nomitated by our committee. Attending this training weekend is a good chance to show that you have the necessary skills and experience to assist in a full scale search.
